Embracing online conversations

Resident Evil is one of the most globally recognised games franchises, so when Capcom hosted the launch of De-Generation exclusively on Nokia, we wanted to create something that would give them global profile for the title.
In collaboration with Noise Digital, onechocolate tapped into the global fascination with zombies, the result was Zombie Singles- the official dating site for the un-dead.
onechocolate promoted the dating site by creating an Agony Aunt letter from a lonely zombie looking for love and created conversations with over fifty communities and forums in ten key global markets to drive interest in the title and microsite. In addition to this, we seeded exclusive assets our target communities and blogs including teaser videos and in-game images, interviews with the producer of the franchise and Nokia giveaways.
The results saw 12,000+ profiles created on Zombie Singles from 108 countries, one million page views and 108 blog entries across the key markets. The site won a Digital Lion at Cannes Lion International Advertising Festival 2009 and the campaign was voted Most Creative in PR Week’s Top 10 Digital 2009.
